I will be there hopefully, Friday afternoon 4-5 PM ? Possibly Saturday morning. Where does everyone meet up at ?

KD, I missed you at the T.N.A. show. Maybe we will bump together at this one, along with a few others.

So who else is going ?

    TBT,

I was going to post that I'd run rings around you young snot-nosed kids....but then, I realized I was having a senior moment and thought better of it.image

If I can wake up early enough, I'll try to make it.

Dick Osburn sent me an email and said he'd have a table there. He's a great guy so you guys that go stop and say hi and check out his inventory. It's too long a hike for me since I live in Michigan.

  • I plan to be there either Friday evening or Saturday morning - just depends on how the job and the kid (10 week old baby) go.

    Hi,

Just got back from the show. What a haul. I only spent $135 and I got quite a load of coins. I saw tonekiller's booth. There were actually two tables that had a nice selection of toned coins, but his was the best. I also saw keithdagen... however I didn't say anything because it just seemed awkward (I am a lot younger than him). I believe I was the youngest at the show that I saw, that wasn't accompanied by a parentimage.

  • 25% of the people there were under 5 years old this morning.
My friend and I got so tired of trying to look over children or trying to get around a baby carriage, we left after less than 1 hour.
If I had a table there, I would have gone nuts watching the kids to make sure they didn't pocket something as kids are prone to do.
The people of Plano/Richardson are mostly young and affluent, but SOMETIMES you just gotta leave the little precious ones at home or a babysitter!
  • KenzoT,

Most of the dealers I talked to enjoyed seeing the kids around. They are the hobby in 20 years. Saw one girl who was probably about 10 walking around with a photocopy of a Greysheet, looking through silver Washington quarters.

I didn't really have any budget since I bought a bunch of Type over the last 2 weeks, but I did take my wish list for my circulated albums and made some dents there. Picked up 9 Liberty nickels, 1 Buffalo nickel, 6 Barber dimes, and about 15 Mercs. Talked with Anaconda at length, as well as GSAGuy and Tonekiller. Those three gentlemen have some of the most stunning toned coins you will ever see and are extremely knowledgable and friendly.

    Jarrett,

Next time, don't be shy. I'm not THAT old, the goatee makes me look older. I had some toned stuff that I would have loved to show you.

It's only an MS-66 and slabbed by PCGS. Can't be too scary. I'll get you for that crack Spooly, and Jarrett's on my bad list too.
