plastic wrapped bank rolls....

I have a few rolls of quarters in the clear-plastic shrinkwrapped? rolls.
Question is.Should I remove them as soon as possible, or are they ok to leave as-is for 20 years.

And what would be the ideal medium for long-term storage of bank rolls.

Your thoughts...

Also would like to know of what unopened OBWRs you have and when if ever do you plan to go through them.

The shrink wrap plastic is probably acceptable for long term storage if
kept in a cool dry place. Like any long term storage media, they should
be looked at once in a while to be sure they're OK.

I've always opened OBW's so That the less desirable coins could be dis-
posed of. There is rarely much of interest in these rolls in the modern era.
Occasionally I'll save a few rolls of a better date if they are very nice coins
with no gems or varieties. When all the rolls are wrapped the same the
coins are "always" from the same bag, and all the rolls will look the same.
Have a few OBW '82 and '83 coins, mostly nickels.
    Tempus fugit.
