I saw that coin and really liked it. I do like those in the new AT NGC slab because of the very real chance they'll get something that can't be dipped. Hey, didn't Kennedy have a secretary named Lincoln, and Lincoln have a secretary named Kennedy. Lincoln in the Ford theater, how weird is that.

Don,
I've heard the same thing. That, and a bunch of other nuggets about coincidences between the two. Not sure how much of it is true, though.
Placid,
No, the coins don't look as good. No coin will ever look as good as a skilled photographer can make it look. But, if one gets used to the scans in a particular seller's auctions, you can form a pretty good idea of what it will look like in person. This one will be very nice.
Russ it is really nice that you have found coins OTHER than kennedy's. But the lincolns should be left to those of us who have been collecting them longer .
nice coin though

You Lincoln guys have nothing to worry about. I grabbed it only to do a 1964 proof registry set. Obviously, I already have the Kennedys and I have four tasty Roosevelts that are in for grading right now that I was planning to sell off to buy more JFKs. If I keep one of those, I have only to grab a Washington and a Jefferson.
Hopefully I can have them all in hand when they get to the 1964 set so I can register immediately and, like RGL, have a fleeting moment at the top.

That said, I am disappointed with your down turn. Have you lost your cents! It is much better to bean a burglar with a JFK than a Lincoln!

Since if I remember right you have bought coins from R & I before. Do the coins look as good in real life as the pictures they use?
