  • That's about the 4th or 5th time I've seen MS designation for circulated coins - someone at PCGS must be slipping!

Yes, the most recognized blunder- front page on Numismatic News!- was the off metal circulated "War Nickel".
I'd pay a slight premium for these Novelty "errors" but PCGS is making enough of them that the pizzazz of owning one is long gone.

I was thinking of bidding. This is it's second time around on E-bay.
Would PCGS reslab for free , or is this how they now grade.
    MS-4 , MS -15 , MS -55.. ????

Are the G-4's and F-15's really gone?????

  • I've been watching this for some time now. I think it's obvious - PCGS has dumped G, VG, VF, XF, etc. for MS grades. Actually, while it may take some getting used to, for the new collector, I believe it will be easier to understand.

    Just MHO.
