ANACS question

Remember my 1882 $3 gold coin? You all advised me to send it to ANACS for authentication, and I did. Just got the return receipt today.

I paid for "Economy Service." Any idea when I will get the coin back?

ANACS has been extremely busy lately. I've heard people saying that they've waited 2 months.

I wish you had asked first. The 5 day service is worth the small extra price for a coin of that value.
Could be a month or even two before you get it back. You can alway's call their 1-800 number and ask for a estimate.
  • Thanks for the info. We're in no real hurry. Does seem like a long wait, though! I'll post the results when I get the coin back.

    Thanks for the replys, guys!
  • I submitted 4 coins to them for grading. According to their records (and the US Postal service), the package was received 8/2/02. They told me when I called on 8/16 that they were running at least 25 business days on Economy service.

Not much help, but that's all the info I have. Good luck on your grades.
