I just sent this proof lincoln ,obverse. And this half dime ,reverse. I picked NGC over PCGS because NGC seems like a better chance for not getting it body bagged for AT. I also sent in my 1982 no FG half that board members thought had a chance of a 66-67 and for the heck of it I even sent in two 96-W dimes. Also included the cracked out 1913 $10 that PCGS graded AU 58 and a few others I had sitting around. mike

I'm just trying to understand where you're coming from. Do you think they're ATed? Do you think PCGS is better at spotting ATed coins so you're sending them to NGC in hopes of getting them into a major services slab ATed or not? Or do you think PCGS is not as good at spotting ATed coins and would bag it because they're more likely not to be able to make a definitive decision regarding ATed or original and when in doubt they would err on the side of caution and bag the coin?
I hate it when you see my post before I can edit the spelling.

You should really take PMH's post to heart. You should, in your own mind, try to answer them. It may help you avoid wasted money in the future.
