Bear around?

Hi Bear. Are you out there? You don't know me that well, but I like reading your posts. I went out and had Chinese food tonight. This was in my fortune cookie "In silence man can most readily preserve his integrity." What do you think of that quote, Bear? Pretty funny I would actually get that one tonight. Been kind of wild around here this week.

Clank - It reminds me of another old one " It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, then to speak up and be proven one." It seems both sayings would be beneficial to most of us and a few in particular. Regards Bear

There are probably more than a few members thinking to themselves right now "Geez, I wish TomB would eat out at Chinese places more often..."image

  • Naw, Tom. I actually was living vicariously through you there for a brief moment.
I live in Seattle, overlooking lake Union. Right now the Tall Ships are in town, and a couple of those old rigs are out on the lake, circling each other, firing broadsides. It's pretty cool. I got to read the whole thread to the sound of cannon fire.

Winged Liberty Man -In a single word NO. Its just that I have seen people new and old get offended when no offense was intended, or treat another harshly causing hurt feelings rather then two way communication. Several new people to the various Forums seem shocked at the hard give and take that we all accept as normal. I hope we are not chasing away people, that could in time, become real assets to these Forums. Those of us old hands are so used to the banter ,we sometimes forget that newbies need a little time to acclimate. I believe that the news in general, of economic disaster, possible war and kidnapping of young children is making us all a little nutzey.

I guess after a good nights sleep and a sound breakfast, we all can face a better Monday tomorrow.

Be well all and good night. Bear

FC - Listen, there is nothing wrong with an occassional road kill. In fact, some of my best meals have included such fare. That is, in addition to my usual nuts and berries. Bearimage
