Minimum Ebay Bids

I just came across an Ebay auction where the seller has a big flashing sign that reads "No Minimum Bid" and "You set the price" yet he has placed a first bid of $12.99. No one has bid yet. Isn't the $12.99 first bid considered a minimum bid??

Well the little lame trick is to set the price a hair below retail and boldly proclaim "No Reserve". I never bid on those auctions EVER. The initial price is by default the reserve price. IDIOTS!! Now, I don't care if a seller places a reserve, but just don't be pathetically moronic about it. image
