Lets start with the indian it's pop 2/0 for now (I know that shylock will say it's not true, there are higher graded coins of this type but the label and pop report don't lie hmmm.....) even in pop 2/0 this coin is inferior because the other one is red this one is brown.

this coin is actually PCI crossover it came from PCI green holder (same grade)

On the other hand my next coin was in PCI MS65 RB holder and now it's in PCGS MS63RB (grrr) holder it has a great toning (1909 VDB cent). I'm thinking that PCGS is a little too brutal on the quarterly specials so I'm skiping this quarter.

So far with PCI I have one upgrade one croosed at the same grade, one downgraded (special) not bad.
Finally a coin I bought today 1859-O half WB-102 bought it as regular 59-O. it's rarity R4+ in AU.

The "1-in-neck" is one of the coolest varieties of all time, so let me start by saying great find! It's on my short list of coins I'd love to have someday, but they're nearly impossible to find as nice as this one. The fact that you nabbed a PCI that crossed says a lot about your sharp eye, which I already knew.

I would never knock a coin because of it's color attribute! Fact is, at one point I sold every RD IH I owned (kept 3 RBs), so you don't know me as well as you think. PCGS has only recently started recognizing this variety, so the pops do lie a bit, but not much. There are 2 64s known, both RB (one is at the bottom of this page and the only RD example is the same grade as yours. Your's is nicer than that one, which has a nasty gash in the cheek. Jerry Wysong's census lists 116 known with only 5 in 63 and those 2 64s. I'd settle for a nice 62.

Congrats on snatching a great coin, and nice pickup on the Seated half as well.

now did you snag that "1 in the neck" as a normal coin or did PCI realize what it was?

goose it was bought by me from a place that is not well travelled - Yahoo. Yes there is a lot of junk there but you can get lucky from time to time. I GOT VERY LUCKY. I don't remember how much exactly I paid for it but it was in neighborhood of $15.00 imageimageimageimageimageimageimage
