psa storage boxes

I saw two types of psa storage boxes. A cardboard box that holds 60 cards and a plastic box that holds 25 cards. Would anybody know the dimensions of the boxes? I asked PSA at the show and they didn't know. I emailed and no response. Thank you.

The black boxes that hold 60 cards measure 12"x3.4"x5.25" when there are cards in it.
I have posted pictures of these boxes for you.

    I hope this helps.

I own the card board and several blue and red plastic boxes. I like the plastic ones -- you can write player, year, etc on them with a sharpie. They both come in handy, but I would get the plastic ones.

Another thing, Penzoni Display Co. apparently makes a hardword storage box that holds 60 (?) PSA cards. I also would lke to find out if there are cardboard boxes made by others to hold PSA cards. I am talking about those thick, white boxes ....

Any one have any suggestions on the best way to store PSA graded cards?

this may not be the best way, but you can rig a cardboard box for commons (the ones with four rows - i think they're 3,200 count) into a decent psa storage box. i removed the first and third dividers, leaving only the middle one. i then lined the box with bubble wrap for a little added protection and to minimize movement of the slabs. i put the holders in graded card bags and store them horizontally. i have slightly more than a 100 cards in one such box with room for maybe 15 more or so.

  • I found 2 old 2-row shoe boxes in my closet that fit PSA slabs nicely. I was originally going to use them for cards in top-loaders, but ended up not needing them.

  • Economy version: Use the 24-count box they come back from PSA in. Twenty-five of 'em holds a 600-card set almost perfectly. Then put those in what I call "Bank Storage Boxes," cardboard boxes with handle-holes in the sides.

Upgrade version: I agree with qmayer, those 2-row sportscard "shoe boxes" work well. Holds about 140 or so cards, if I'm not mistaken.

I don't care for the PSA boxes at the price they charge. Heck, PSA should give you those free on their FREQUENT GRADING PROGRAM they (should be) working on. Or at least when you complete a set on the Registry.image

Toppsgun -- I agree about the price. They should give them to you with every 25 card order ... maybe even ship them back to you in the plastic box.

I like the idea on the cardboard box. I know there is a show coming up and there is always at least one supply dealer who may have something.

    I will let everyone know.

toppsgun> If you don't like the price of the PSA box, you can always buy the generic white "Vault Box" variety from BCW. They're still going to run you $2 to $3.50 (pricing is for quantity 5). In my opinion, the black PSA boxes look a LOT better.

But yeah. . .there are options.

As for the boxes PSA sends your cards back in. . .they do hold about 24 slabs, I use them to hold my ungraded cards. They hold Card Saver 2s about perfectly. They also have a "tall boy" version of this box that holds Card Saver 1s almost perfectly. Waste not want not image

mcastaldi - thanks for the website!

pool - take the same height and width as a PSA standard card. They hold 25 cards snugly with protective wraps by the way - I do not have ruler handy - SORRY
