poll: who is the greatest laker star

i pick wilt because its increadible to score 100 points in 1 game without 3 pointers

  • they are all so great. But kobe still doesnt have so many career total numbers yet so i picked jerry west since he really lead the laker team he played on.
Rest in peace Josh, we'll all miss you

I go with Wilt. Look not only at his career numbers, but his averages. This man was(in my opinion) the best basketball player, EVER. Simply a dominating force that was unstoppable.

Wilt isn't the greatest because he was so dominant and over-sized for his era. Hell, someone just plan 7 foot could have done what he did with his talent because back then, the talent level was on his side, and no one could stop him. He was amazing, but he's not the greatest ever.

As far as the greatest Laker...I'd have to go with Magic. Not only did he play his entire career as a Laker...he had a very extraordinary career, with the titles, and MVP's, and the flashy assists. He was definitely the greatest Laker in my opinion.
  • FOR BEST ALL ROUND PLAYER IT HAS TO BE MAGIC,BUT THE MOST DOMINATING PLAYER IS SHAQ

  • i have to admit i choose magic on the poll but im having 2nd thoughts. Jerry West was part of the laker family for over 40 years ! he is one of the best 10-15 best players ever as well as being probally the best G.M in the history of b-ball. he's one of if not the most respected men in basketball. he also coached the lakers for a short time as well. throw in he's the logo patch on every uniform and guess what, i might have to change my pick image
  • Magic was incredible but he couldnt have done what he did without the players around him (assist-wise) so thats why i didnt pick him.

Could anyone? Look at all the great assist men of all-time. John Stockton, I. Thomas, etc., and they MAKE plays occur. KInd of like Jason Kidd as well...he makes things happen for the other players. Of course you have to have players around you to make things happen...but Magic just out-did everyone when it comes to that category. Not only did he do it with ease...but he did it with flash and consistency. He was awesome, not to mention he was VERY clutch and had many incredible scoring averages to go along with his assist total. He's definitely the best Laker.
  • wow alot of great opinions but this is to all laker fans or not
what do you think will become of the new kareem in the lak show?? i think with all the laker greatness around him he will do what toronto thought he WOULDNT do
    LMK
  • Alot of great players on the list but Magic was something special. One of my favourite players of all time. He is definatly the best Laker, that guy was a joy to watch.

  • kobe8fan, i think the new kareem will do just fine. he is an awesome shooter and will add much needed offense off the bench when shaq or kobe are resting. he could use a little help with his defense and ballhandling but he's still young and has plenty of time to improve in those areas
  • I voted for Wilt cause of his statistics. His statistics were amazing cause he was the real only tall guy of his time. I mean, they didn't allow dunking for a while because of him. Now, he would be average because players have become stronger and taller. But in his time he was the best.

  • I chose Magic as well. He put "Showtime" in the NBA. In his era it was hard for anyone not to be a Magic and Lakers fan. He was a complete asset to the game and the era. I think all of us who were fans in his era were Magic/Laker fans. It's hard to not be a fan of a winner and complete class act that Magic was.
