VAM's and Magnification

I just started to expand my intrests in Morgans to VAM attribution. I just bought the Top 100 VAM book by Michael S. Fey & Jeff Oxman, and I am going to add the Van Allen, George Mallis book as soon as possible. I own a 16x loupe but it's not that good. I was thinking of buying a 10x hastings triplet and a 20x Stereo Microscope. Is the 20x microscope a bit much or would it be as useful as I think at attributing VAMs, Doubling, RPM, etc?

Looking for some opinions.

I just started being interested in Morgans myself.. I have a stereo microscope. Its the best thing i ever bought. Its awesome for looking at dates and mint marks.... and is great when looking for breaks in cameo on proofs.

I purchased this one on the suggestion of a few guys from this message board.

If you're on a budget like me, you may want to try the Intel QX3 USB microscope, for $34 it's pretty hard to beat and you can capture the images unlike a stereo microscope without an expensive image capture device.

I use a 30x but I don't care much for coins that I have to use a microscope to see. I got lazy so I let Gilbert attribute them for me.
