Wayne, It looks like a very nice coin but the picture is too small to give any specifics. I think you paid about the average price for one of these in ngc64.

  • Mike.... thanks for taking a look and your reply. I am still working on making my scanner co-operate. If I get it working I will post a scan.
I agree that I paid an average price but I can say without ANY hesitation.... I am 100% staisfied!! My first Oregon and in my opinion a great coin, well struck, not distracting points I can see.... well I am getting out of hand with my comments...lol

I love it, and I will definitely keep an eye open for others.

Hi Wayne. It looks nice to me, too. In my opinion, if you paid $165 or even $265 or more, as long as you like the coin, then whatever you buy it at is a good price. At least that is the way I look at it. But, I do think that $165.00 is a good price for that piece. Richard.

Let me put it this way

    oooh, aaah,

I really like Oregon comms. That looks like a nice one. Good pickup.
  • Ramp and Lan........

(The two last to comment) This is my first, but will not be my last Oregon. I love the coin at least a hundred times now when I can see it than I did from the pic.

I probably am a bit carried away.... but .... HECK...I could not be more satisfied.

Thnaks for having a look, your comments and of course, feeding my enjoyment!

    Wayne--
First Oregon-- that's pretty exciting. I commented in your original thread that I thought it looked like a nice coin, at a good price and that you were being very courteous to the seller by asking his permission before using the BIN.
I am very glad that it has all worked out well for you, and that you love the coin. They are beautiful commemoratives, if you hadn't bought it I might have bid on it myself. Congratulations and enjoy.

I hope you end up keeping it a long time. You'll always be able to look at that coin and remember it was the first one. It will always be special.
    I'm excited about your excitement.

Love your enthusiasm, newbiecollector. I know how hard it is for you to get coins where you are, and you are certainly entitled to be excited!

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

Congrats Wayne, that commem is easy to get excited about once you hold it in your hand. As I mentioned in recent thread about these, the high relief is eye grabbing -- coin engraving at its best. My sister, who buys the yearly US mint sets but has only a passing interest in earlier dates, absolutely fell in love with mine and has never forgiven me for selling it!
