I dunno, post a link to one that deserves the grade.
Looks like some faint reeding marks by Y in LIBERTY. I'm assuming (hoping) that mass of gunk by the F in HALF is on the holder. Can't tell if the rest of the distractions are on the holder or the coin.
Forget it. This is not a real 70DCAM. See at least one mark across the shield. The official PCGS definition of 70DCAM does not allow any marks under 5x. This is just another so called 70 which will eventually go back for regrading. Buy this and buy plastic only. Is plastic worth hundreds of dollars. You and the market will decide. Just remember that if people ultimately decide the emperor has no cloths that the market price for these can fall faster than most of my tech stocks.
I've pretty much given up buying a Kennedy in 70DCAM. Everyone I've bought, was returned because of some flaw. I'm pretty much coming to believe it is impossible for a coin that large to be absolutely perfect. Perhaps there are a few out there. However, those are not the ones coming on the market. Just remember that the people selling batches of 70DCAMS now have been at this game a long time and know whats going on. Ask why they are selling and you are buying.
I believe that the smaller coins are the ones that have a legit shoot at being real 70DCs. If you want some 70s look at Roosies, Jeffs, Washingtons, Lincolns, and SBAs. Or, look for something with a date in the last few years. PCGS has been back to standard for a few years. Any date 2000 or later is likely to be real. And expect to pay alot if you find one.
For earlier Kennedies buy a great 69DC at 1/10th the price or less. I don't think a better registry spot is worth it.
This is not a 70 quality coin, their are a lot of small defects in the field that would negate such a grade today. The very best of 70 quality PR coins are resting comfortably in top sets and are only available when those sets are liquidated. Bear
According to two recent posts if you are buying only for the registry then buy the coin. It's obviously not a 70 if the pictures accurately reflect the coin's condition. If you want a nice coin pay 69 money instead.
This coin is a great example of the madness that exists over these holders. People are bidding over $1,000 for a coin that clearly is not perfect, by any definition. And many of these bidders probably know they are only buying the plastic, and that the coin is not what it claims to be...I just don't get it....for such a bad economy, people sure have a lot of money to throw away...The 1974 69DCAM JFK I sold a few months back looked way better than this coin...and I am pretty sure I didn't get $1000 for it. Kind of makes me feel ill.
These prices are crazy. I've seen much better PR69 DCAM coins. The buyer could send it to PCGS for a review and show them the price on Rick's site. Then they would probably pay the buyer $4,900.

Russ, I'm not a devil. My poor bid $1.001 were easily beat. This coin is a very good investment. Check with Deepcameocoin if he agree with me. All the guys that included recently this coin in their own sets was paid around $3 K.

BUT
just make sure if YOU buy this coin you do not break it out of its respective holder as then the value will go down drastically
