First off, it's 2 rookies per pack.

I'll let you know what I've pulled on the first two packs I bought of this stuff.

First pack:

Vince Carter RC #ed 2500 (sold it at the time for $680US)
Mike Bibby RC #ed 1500 (sold for $25)


I was all smiles after pulling the Carter and didn't mind opening the second pack

Second "death" pack:

Roshown Mcleod RC #ed 2500
Felipe Lopez RC #ed 2500

Either way I made cash. I'd suggest opening the pack....you basically bought it to see what you can pull. If you pull a "death" pack as I did what can you do man. The joy of pulling out something good will be worth the gamble.

I've burned myself opening up stuff to get nothing, when I could have made money by selling it for more than what I paid.

Just ask Slipknot about my 2001 Sweet Spot baseball box, T206 Series box, among others.

That why my 02 Chrome case is still sealed.

The longer you wait, the greater the potential of damaged cards being in your pack. Look at some of the older packs where the cards start sticking together.

The odds of you getting three rcs are pretty bad-as i recall there were only two per pack

id open it-there is tons of that stuff out there. Its not going to increase in price a lot in a few years

The reason the radiances (and duncangal, the ultra gold medallions too) is that they are not actual rookies, they're parallel cards of a guy during his rookie year. That's why Beckett prices them lower.

Actually, Vince Carter #15/25 has been pulled, I had help in selling it (have scans too) #25/25 Carter spectrum has also been pulled. I don't recall seeing #1/25 though.

The 1998 draft class is what I mainly collected so I'd consider myself a pro with this issue. As for paying $90 on the pack, I think you overpaid on it...I just bought one for a friend for $67...guess what, I wouldn't kill myself by not opening it. The second that thing gets here I'm giving it to my friend and he's busting it open.....

I'll be sure to list what cards he got......I still have that Stupid Lopez and Mcleod I pulled from the bad pack. You live once man, why not roll the dice and open it, I did and made over $600 profit on it.

how the hell does a card #/2500 book $300? its not auto'd or gu'd. You get auto'd rookies #'d/1000 that book $15-$30, or rookies #'d/50 that book like $30.

It's because that was an amazing draft class, the only way you could get a pack was to buy a whole box of 98 MJ access, the most popular insert RC (the spectrum) in it's first year, and mainly Vince Carter. He made all that product skyrocket and now the other guys, Nowitzki, Pierce, Lewis, Stojakovic, Jamision etc, have picked up the slack.

As for the owner of the pack, I'm getting my pack next week and my friend will open it right away....I'd expect you to have yours open by then man....or else sell it...but don't look back cause someone might pull out a spectrum...

What are you waiting for? 10 minutes, 20 minutes, an hour, or 10 years from now, the contents of the pack will still be the same. You will either get a pack that:

A.) Has some PSA 7 level rookies of Micheal Doleac and Bryce Drew.

OR

B.) Has a nice PSA sample of Keon Clark and Brian Skinner.

OR

C.) Overcome the greatest of great odds and pull a Robert Traylor and a Corey Benajmin Spectrum in NM-Mt condition that will offset the cost of your pack.

My money is on "A", but we won't know until you OPEN IT! The suspense is not killing me, but like everyone else, I would like to know.
