He kyped the scan from this auction.

I point that out only because the coin in the scan is primo. No way to know what the one he's actually selling looks like.

I have an eMail in to him right now. Haven't heard back yet.

Well, it's a she and she responded by saying the coin she has for sale is exactly the same. So, I responded by asking "So, the coin is spot-free, tone-free, lightly cameo'd and still in the mint packaging, right?"

It'll be interesting to see how she responds to that.

And, yep, she doesn't have an accented hair.

First of all she sent me a AU 1964 Kennedy in an Airtite. It wasn't even a proof coin!

I sent an email asking for a refund. We will see what happens.

Tsk, tsk. Actually, at less then $12 this would be one of those "ah, what the hell, give a shot" buys. From time to time, those can yield a nice surprise.

EDIT: If you need copies of the eMail she sent me positively confirming that it was the same as the auction from which she swiped the scan, just let me know.

I sent a message to her telling her that 1964 Accented Hair Half Dollars only occur on proofs and that the coin she sent me was not a proof, so I wanted a refund because I did not get the coin I bid on (not to mention she used a scan from another auction)

She replied that she did not advertise the coin as a proof and tries to convince me that these accented hairs exist on business strikes.

I usually don't make a fuss on about small items on Ebay, but it is the mere principal and deception that I don't like occuring on Ebay.

I am informed by an acquaintance who purchased the coin that you sent him a business strike Kennedy half. The Accented Hair variety exists only as a proof coin. I would suggest that you refund his money, as clearly you misrepresented the coin both in the auction listing, and in your eMails to me.
