Rare, super rich toning caused by sitting in a woman's purse for years...

Definitely looks rusted to me...

This is why you should stay the hell away from those purses. You never know what might happen to you if you go in there!
  • Are you sure that wasn't struck on a large cent planchet.imageimageimage

If it looks like such crap... what was in that purse?

  • Based on being married for a long time and raising two daughters, DO NOT PUT STUFF THAT IS IMPORTANT TO YOU IN A WOMAN"S PURSE!!

    Not buying it.

No money stays in "a woman's purse" that long. Too many "50% OFF SALES!" image

Coin descriptions are such a crackup. One needs a translator to read between the lines.

Richly toned = too dark to sell in our shop, and returned 4 times, so now Ebay is our last hope!

Subtle hues = was original, but has been cleaned and the hues are what remain of once beautiful original surfaces

Mellow patina = listless and dull, no contrast and bland in every way shape and form.

Yes, this coin I believe was found in an outhouse. An Iowa farmer by the name of Humpry Wilson was finished feeding the chickens one day in 1910 and visited the outhouse to relieve himself. His prized half fell within the murky innards of the nearly full outhouse and remained there until a developer putting in a new strip mall excavated it up.

Ah coin history is full of history and loreimage
