Jay-
I stumbled upon an auction for 165 different 1963 PSA 7's and saw that you were the seller. Was this one of your registered sets? If so, I hope this is the only one and that your sticking with the 65's, 66's and your other sets. I see that John Branca just started a 1963 set so I hope that did not discourage you.
I hope this is not a sign of things to come...
Just Curious,

You can buy out other registar's, swallow up all auctions on Ebay, contact the best dealers etc.
While it is notable, I dont find it impressive.
A friend of mine won the KY Lottery 5 years ago for 6 mil.
If he chose too he could have come out of nowhere and been the new stud in card collecting.
Thankfully he has 0 interest in the hobby.
So, if you have big bucks, it is very easy to be "driven".
Loves me some shiny!
Jay could not resist the temptation in collecting the finest set to be made in one hundred years of cards. No other hints!

JOHN- Yes & No! I am bailing out of the 1963's (for the time being anyway) - And I took all the PSA-7's NQ's that were in the set, which equalled 165 different. They are on eBay as we speak, and would be a great way for anyone to have over 1/4 of the set already graded, especially if they have a Mantle or Rose graded already. There are some stars, Hof'ers and Yanks included, and the opening bid is roughly $10.00 per card, which is the lowest SMR price on any PSA-7. If anyone from these boards win the lot, I can offer a layaway plan based on the winning bid & shipping. Breaking it down to 2 payments, a month apart. Any questions, Email or shoot me a call.
I never worry about going head to head w/ Mr. Branca, cause I will lose everytime. I also have 19 sets registered, so I have many other ways to divert my hobby $. A few days ago, I added the 1956 Topps Football, when I deleted the '63 set. Kevin STONEGATE has helped me in my pursuit. And as ZARDOZ referred to, I am joining the ranks of the insane by putting together the 1970 Kelloggs set. ZARDOZ hooked me up w/ a solid deal, roughly have the set w/ 14 HOF'ers all in PSA-9's, I guess his goal was for me to lose my mind finding a Horlen. The irony is, we struck a deal last night AFTER his Horlen PSA-9 was auctioned off. As my wife will quickly agree to, No one ever said I was smart ...jay

Zardoz gave me a real good deal on a PSA 9 Seaver a couple of weeks ago. He said "just to get me hooked" My wife asked me if that was like the drug dealers handing out free drugs to the elem. kids to get them hooked. I said, no, but you have the picture. BTW Paul. THANKS!!!
I believe that stage is called "denial".
I'm readily seen on street corners in every majoy city, "Psst Kid, wanna try something new?"
One flash of the 3-D effect, and they're MINE!
