I really need to get a digital camera. These scans don't do a coin justice.

Every proof I scan comes out rainbow-toned. MS coins come out looking good.

It's all about color correction. It fixes most of the problems and helps bring out the natural color in others. I have several blueish nickels and halves that I thought about scanning for color. Part of the problem is that with all the lights needed, it washes out the color some. And capturing color is also a factor of angle. Maybe I'll try later and see if I can pull one out.

So, anyone think that PCGS will ever grade PR70 again?
