1971 Topps Thurman Munson PSA 7
SMR of $20!
Good snipe on that Horlen. I'm amazed that it didn't go for much more. There are only 7 9's which might sound like a lot, but four of them came from me from the remnant vending lot. That was the last of them other than the one in my set. Four are in complete sets, 2 are in partials, and you got the last of the Mohicans.
That card always has that "U" scratch on the face from the sheet gripper. Those few that came in that lot were amazing. Amazing that they didn't have the scratch!
Congratulations!
Jrinck:
Yep, nothing unexpected on that card. He!!, you were offering five times SMR for a PSA 6 and it still took two weeks for you to land one!
I ended up getting my Munson 6 for $25 in a private sale.
The ones on Ebay continue to go for $40.
I had figured that you'd get at least $100 for your 7, but was hoping it would go for more just because you're such a nice guy!
You walked right into this pun, "Moneytalks" by AC/DC off of the Razors Edge album is clearly the song that landed the card.
And I quote Brian Johnson:
"Come on, come on
Love me for the money,
Come on, come on,
Listen to the money talk."
Ian
"The best things in life are free,
You can keep them for the birds and bees,
Now give me money (That's what I want)"
Money - The Beatles
Too funny!
You've got a great sense of humor. Post more often!
<< <i>Is there some kind of hidden message in this 3D acid trip? >>
Yes, but it's priviledged information for devoted '70 Kellogg's freaks only. The truth behind the Horlen would kill all other onlookers .

LOL, that pretty much sums up all Kellogg's collecting.
In recent months a lot of previously uncirculated 1970 Kelloggs cards surfaced, thanks in large part to the set registry. Most of these cards are in PSA 8 and 9. For some reason, the Horlen and several others did not appear in this group. Therefore, based on the current population of highly conditioned 1970 Kelloggs cards, Horlen is rare. Again, I would imagine the original printing had an equal distribution of all of the cards, but based on the current population, Horlen is extremely hard to find.
