Wanted/Buy ads in Coin World

Has anyone ever sent coins to the Wanted/Buy ads in Coin World?

I have seen ads for many coins that I have for prices I would be willing to sell. Any advice? Joe.

Most are probably legit, but I wouldn't send coins to someone I didn't know. Get their phone number and talk to them first. Ask them to pay by PayPal first. That you you don't get screwed and if you screw them they are protected.

Some of the prices to buy in the Coin World ads are more than Redbook. Anyone? Joe.

Several of the members of the boards do sell on eBay. I have bought from several.

I've never had trouble selling to the advertisers in Coin World. A good rule
of thumb though is to start slowly with smaller shipments.

chances are your coins will never be good enough for the buyers to pay their advertised price. They usually say slabbed coins must meet their grading standards, thats a clue they very seldom do. Send one of those who advertise to buy GSA Morgans a baggie 1884-CC with original card and box and see if they buy it, they won't. You most likely will be dissapointed. Sell your coins on e-bay lowest overhead and you can protect yourself.

I know a guy that sells to Arizona Coin and Jewelry, a Coin World advertiser.
All he sells is stuff like common wheats and so forth, but does it right along with no problem.
