The Coin Not Found

Ever have a hard time finding that certain coin (that should not be that hard to find)?

I've been looking for months to purchase an attractive 1917 T1 SLQ in MS64FH. Twice now, I've found a nice coin on a dealer web set and ordered it. Both times, I've learned someone else ordered it before me. These are not hanging around long when they come available.

Back to the web to search some more!

    Brian,

My dealer has a 1917-D Type 1 in PCGS MS64. Suppose these are worth more than the P coins.

TRADERBOBZ, I took a look at that 1917 in the NGC slab. That looks like a nice coin, what's wrong with it?? Is it just because it's in a NGC Slab??

That AU/BU looks more XF, with the bonus of being cleaned!

No problem finding MS65FH coins, but these are more $ than I am willing to spend for this coin.

  • jhar,
do a simple cross over (yea right) to PCGS and you would have a great coin at a great price!

itsnotjustme, I have an ungraded 1917 T-1 full head quarter which was extremely nice when I bought it 12 years ago, about MS 64-65. But after a mishap, it has PVC poison after my dad left my collection out in the salty humid Florida air for 5 years. I guess you're not interested, right?
