PCGS vs NGC

I like to buy PCGS and NGC slabbed coins. While the grade given by either service is very important, the eye appeal of the coin is also just as important. But my question is wich slab or grading service do most collectors prefer, or do they prefer them equally ? I think the NGC slab(holder) is very attractive but i think the PCGS slab (holder) might be slightly better designed , any opinions?

They both stack well, but PCGS slabs stack better. I like the white NGC field because most of my coins are toned. But, most of my slabs are PCGS and I like the consistent display. I like the NGC insert more than the PCGS insert. The PCGS insert is too ``busy'' while the NGC one is relatively uncluttered.
I can't make up my mind about anything!

DCGS has little feet on their holders... cute little feet...
One of the reasons I initially went with PCGS slabs -- this was way before the craze over slab-bias started -- was because I had some chance of seeing the 3rd side of the coin. I don't seem to care as much about that these days, but my tastes may yet change again!

That was the DCGS slab. I believe they only slabbed state quarters. It was a junk service.
The NGC slab is great for nicely toned coins. The white inner shows off the colors. It is also nice for B&W cameos.
The PCGS slab is nice for slightly hazy coins since it doesn't show off the haze. I also like it for circulated coins.
The SEGS slab is great for information and ease of use.
I apologize that we were so rude as to hijack your thread. It usually goes that way with most of us talking alot and listening a little (me especially), but to return to your original thought, I'd like to refer you to the link below. Contained therein are totally unbiased opinions of the collectors that deftly man these boards hoping to protect and direct new users such as yourself. EVP is right, your head will hurt.
