Short term buying on the pit....

I was just wondering how many people here actually use the pit. I have had some really good success this past year on short term trading. A lot of cards are at their lows right now such as Helton, Maddux, Andruw Jones, Pedro, etc. All of these guys are having decent to solid years. With some of the players who have cards in the 200-600 dollar range the price can drop as much as 50 dollars a day or more from what I've seen. Sosa's donruss baseballs best bgs 9.5 dropped 75 dollars just today. Sosa was jsut the player of the week and has been on a tear, I can't think of any explination for this. I have also had success buying some graded cards on ebay and turning around and selling them on the pit or doing the opposite. I made a good ammount of money by turning around a lot of PSA 8 and PSA 9 jordan rookies. I was just seeing if anyone else out there has ever done similar things like this or if they have any other strategies as well.

  • Baseball is dropping because if they go on strike the bottom will fall out of newer baseball. No one really wants it.

I wonder if the Pit is like the real stock market where if it drops too much (500pts in the real market) they close it for the day to keep it from crashing. The Pit could destroy baseball values. Cause if they strike everyone will try to sell at once and it will crash.
