Excellent! I bet the colors on the Kennedy are even nicer than the scan (it's hard to scan rainbow colors on proof clad).

Hey cool. Post a pict of the Morgan when you get it. I know TC didn't like me saying they were AT but at least you got a more real looking one.
Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.
  • Hey Russ, I came so close to bidding on that coin also, would have bid $75, would it still be yours? My connection went snail on me!
You can fool man but you can't fool God! He knows why you do what you do!

Man what an ugly Kennedy. You should send it to me so I doesn't spread color to your frosty's. I love what the color does to the cameo. Marty was right.....you suck!image

It would have been yours at $56.

    Don,

I can't believe I got that Kennedy at a measly $12.50. Set my max at $22 and thought sure I'd get out-sniped.

Great buy. The proofs with color seem to be real scarce. I like'em alot.

Russ, big mistake because now I'm gonna be following you all over eBay, laying in the bushes easing up to your auctions only to come out as the last second when you think you're safe ......and outbid you on your stunners - your smile will turn to shriek as you realize you only have 8 seconds to get a new bid in! Ba Ha Ha Ha!!!!!!

Just kidding dude, very nice picks. Besides, I've got my hands full following mrose21743@aol.com, josborne@indy.rr.com, aim2pleaseu2 and hhh007.

    Adrian,

Funny thing is, I was actually thinking you might be lurking as I pulled the trigger on the Morgan.image

BTW, I really only grabbed these coins for camera practice. I've got a pretty good handle on shooting garden variety proof coins, so I need a new challenge. Colored ones are much, much harder to capture. I still can't get a decent shot of a blue Jefferson I have.

I just got an order back from PCGS filled with golden toned Kennedy's.

    image
I have about a half dozen of these. Watch for them on EBay after I get back from Vacation, the 71s are just starting to get a golden tone. But the 80s the fields look black when you look at it...
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

Russ, do you ever sell any JFKs? Or are you just trying to corner the market? Or maybe trying to one-up the Smithsonian (in total pieces)? Just wondering.

I bid that one up to the reserve, then made the seller an offer that he refused. I guess I shouldn't have tried to lowball him.image
