Hey Error specialists! Is this really "rare"?

Rare?? I don't even know what it is? Blount Strike? That's a new one on me! It looks like a filled die which is kinda common but you don't see many errors of any kind on a FE so I guess it's kinda rare. Nobody's bidding but it's not listed in the error section. Must be overpriced.

  • I would like to submit it to ANACS and see what label they would put on it. Looks like a filled die or a very weak strike. BOB

My first thought was die trial or setup strike. I was dreaming about a killer cherry.

is it just the scan, or does the coin not have any rim in the area from about 5 to 8 o'clock?

I see rim all the way around.

I'd sure like to see the reverse. The obverse lettering looks weak. I like the color on this one and would pull the trigger but just needed a bit more info before doing so.

  • Would have to see the other side as well. If it looks the same then I would think weak strike but if it was sharp then I'd guess filled die.
