The coin can't be any good. It's not in a PCGS slab.

I know that guy's a fellow board member and all that and sells high grade Set Registry quality PCGS graded coins, he's a great seller and a fast shipper.....But those raw Morgans are AT.
Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.

    Those look nice.

Telecoin is a member here and bought the coins raw in a collection. He dabbles in Moderns so he's selling the toned morgans raw as he got them.

    7,000+ feedbacks with no negatives.
    He's doing something right.

Actually, we road together up to Long Beach on this last go-around and had a great chat with him. He's very knowledgeable and kind.
He's one of the good guys.

    Good luck bidding WSM!
  • I've bought coins from him both on ebay and directly from his Website. I had no complaints. The coins were what he said they were and he shipped them quickly.

  • Someone emailed me about the thread. I don't usually deal in "classic" coins, but I couldn't pass up on these dollars. I went to a near-by dealer (who is a friend on mine) to pick up a bag of cents. I saw the set of 9 Morgans in his case and he offered it to me with very little premium for the color, so I grabbed it. He had just bought it from a collector who didn't ask for a premium on the toning. I don't know why anyone would go to the trouble of toning a coin and then not want any premium for them, and they are not all toned alike. Anything is possible though. I avoided making any wild claims about them and started them cheap. And I do offer a return priviledge. One of the coins (1880 s) has only a little color, although it is the highest grade. I didn't want to spend the time or money grading them as the are not high grade coins. Even though it says I don't refund postage, I usually do as I get so few returns. The auctions are getting ready to end so I've got to run.

<< <i>I don't know why anyone would go to the trouble of toning >>

telecoin nobody really went to any trouble or time to tone them. They were either in a bad album or stored in a coin envelope, not like they had an appointment with a coin doctor for an office visit. Since they toned that way on their own and not by "help" you might even call them "original" but if you sent them to PCGS, NGC or ANACS they would be designated AT.
