Cleaning Silver Proof

This was probably addressed here at one time but I have a 1999 silver proof set that has some haze and spotting. What's the best way to clean it? A quick dip in acetone? Any help would be appreciated.

I thought Acetone was considered "dipping" but I'm a bit weiry about how long to soak it in acetone. I have never used the MS70 but since I have heard about it so often, I might as well purchase some.
I am assuming I will be soaking it in acetone for a set period of time (overnight?), using soap to wash off the residue and then use an "air can" to dry the coins off...right?
Just wanted to add that after picking up a 1945 nickle, someone actually gave me a whole bunch of pre-1950 nickles that were in horrible condition. I soaked them in acetone for a day, soaked them in olive oil before soaking them in a combination of dish detergent/dish washer detergent... which seemed to help a bit but it still has areas that are highly stained. I'm assuming some coins are just a lost cause... if I am assuming correctly... I'm still a newbie :-)
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Dips are acidic solutions that disolve metal from the coin. Acetone does not alter the coins surface at all. You don't need soap to wash the residue off. You use acetone to remove the residue from the water after you dip & rinse it. You can soak coins in acetone for days but haze on a Proof set will be quickly removed if it is gonna come off. MS70 is messy to use and I don't like the way you are sposed to apply it. I'd dip it in jeweluster, rinse it then dip it in acetone to remove to junk that is in your tap water. Haze comes off pretty easy. A quick in & out and immediate rinse is all it takes.
