Anyone know what a MS67RD 1958-D Lincoln is worth?

Just trying to see what it is worth.

Thanks,
Ray

$800.00 maybe. The PCGS price guide is way out of line at $1350.00

$600 should be sufficient. I guarantee there will be more PCGS ms 67 red 1958d's in the near future.

The LaBute specimen sold for $518 in february

Mr. Paseo: I hold 80 rolls of 1958-D cents in obw (original bank wrapped) shotgun rolls and upon opening one of them they are gorgeous. There are a huge supply of undiscovered 1958-D cents waiting for t6heir day in the sun.

$600 is the highest I would suggest but it better be PQ 67!

So what "sale" put the value at $1350.00

So what "sale" put the value at $1350.00

That would be the "Oh my god if I could only get suckers to pay this much for this coin I could retire sale". It is the same "sale" price that is used for practically every coin listed on the PCGS Price Guide.
  • The $1350.00 I believe comes from the sale of a 1958 in 67RD which has a POP of 10 vs the 58-D which has a POP of 24.

I routinely make coins like this in pcgs ms67 and have a good feel for the current market. This a pop 24/0 coin and I usually sell mine for $200 but you might find someone who is willing to pay more. Possibly a $300 coin for soemone that is not in the know. This date does come nice and is easy to find in large hoards of sweet coins, so it will grow, where other dates will not.
