Thanks for the kind words. Collectors like you are always welcome.
  • I just want to reiterate everything that 1420sports said. I have learned so much about graded cards from this forum in the last year. I don't post much but I read everyday. I bought a partially graded 74 set from Carlos and started there(can't stop). I was going to do it in 8, but I am starting to lean towards 9(LOOKOUT CARLOS !). It looks like it might be feasible in the next year. Since buying that set I have began a 66 Topps set(year I was born) and have just discovered the Kellogg's cards again. I can almost still taste the Frosted Flakes. My mother thinks I nearly turned into one in about 1975. Anyway I just want to thank all of you guys for sharing the incredible amount of knowledge you have of the hobby and although I did not make the national this year, there is no way I will miss it next year. See you all in Atlantic City !!!

Neal--Thanks, and agreed. I have learned more on the board in 2 years about cards than the prior 20 combined!!

Neal: Thanks for the note. I'm sorry I've been so busy lately -- but I am actually getting to be quite proud of the Mike Schmidt Registry. He is the first relatively modern player who has an active PSA Registry -- and I know have been in contact with at least four people who are actively building Mike Schmidt PSA collections -- three of whom are in the Registry. So it is a very wonderful time for me, and I am glad to help.

As soon as I stop being so busy, and as soon as I can clear up some of the holes I have in my set -- I will be very happy to help you out a little more with some of the cards you need. I have quite a few that you need in PSA 9 -- but until I can secure my PSA 10 copy, I find it a little hard to let go of my little PSA 9 hoardes. (And yes, it is extremely sad! that I am talking about trivial cards like 1989 Topps.

I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.
