WAITING TO MATCH
It seems talks with Cavs free agent Ricky Davis have gone as far as they are going to go. The Cavs have a 4-year deal on the table, and Davis wants a six-year deal. Rumor has it Minnesota may ink Davis to a 6-year offer sheet using their median exception and force Cleveland to make a decision. The Cavs would have the right and ability to match the deal, but because Cleveland has held tight to the 4-year benchmark, if Minnesota goes 6 years on an offer sheet they may land him. Cleveland would pay less money initially, but be on the hook for a longer period meaning a decision would have to be made. The Cavs maintain that keeping Davis is a priority, but a league source indicated on Friday that the Cavs seem like they have made their best offer and Davis’ people have had talks with Minnesota and Denver.
kg and ricky davis? it'd be a dunk contest in minneapolis.
will ricky davis be the missing piece in the twolves puzzle that will finally advance them to the 2nd round?
The Spurs and Cavs got close to a deal, apparently, the Spurs wanted Jumaine Jones and a re-signed Michael Doleac, and wanted the Cavs to take on Antonio Daniels and some longer-term contracts. The Cavs found the longer term commitments to be too much for them, and passed.

he's looking for 6 yr which is a great thing considering he comes cheap at 6 mill. a season. it wouldn't be a good thing if he was looking for a short term deal cuz he'll be a star in a yr or two and will demand the max like all players do.
<< <i>ricky davis isn't just about dunks. he can flat out score. >>
Hmm...well, he's played for 3 teams in 4 seasons, with a career Points Per Game average of 7.8 in 183 career games. But yeah, he can "flat out score". Uh...not.

<< <i>i agree with vittleboy he hadnt gotten much playin time 'till the end of last season, next season will be a good year for him, he is very versital and can put the ball in the hoop, the Twolves would have a good 3 with KG, wally, and Davis >>
Yet, KG will choke in the 4th in the playoffs (if they even make it), and they'll fall in the 1st round, as usual. They need a center...
