Grr, yes your right. It was Doc Gooden, and he had a 1.53 ERA that year. Not to mention he won the Cy Young and had a 24-4 record. Too bad drugs caught up with him. He would have been one of the great one's if he hadn't got into drugs.

Who was the first AL pitcher to record 4 K's in one inning? Also, who was the last AL pitcher to do it?

I believe the first was Walter Johnson and the last was pitcher from Oakland...Erik Hiljus...
