Home Buy, Sell & Trade - Cards & Memorabilia

2nd time in 2 months I've had regualar envelopes show up ripped and empty. Anyone else ever have thi

The first time I questioned whether the guy ripped it himself and put tape on it to make it look like it did but he sent my money back after I sent the envelope back in the condition I recieved it in. This time I know the person well enough that I don't figure he did the envelope tearing himself. I am gonna quit sending any deals (no matter if it's a .50 or $50+ card) as I've been lucky and all have gotten through so far. Anyone else received just to find nothing due a card (or cards) being sent in a basic flimsy envelope?

That's just true idiocy. If they don't have enough common sense to use bubble mailers or use reg. envelopes but USE protection, then they shouldn't even be trading in the first place. I think some people do it on purpose just to be major b*tches...or either they have an IQ of 10, and they don't know any better. It's rediculous.

I'm just fortunate I've never had that problem. But, I can see why you or anyone would be mad. It's totally lamed out.

  • Nah, my mail lady collects Golf and WWF/WWE for her grand kids (she says that anyway)....I wouldn't be surprised if someone in the postal system had a nice collection based totally on "lost" mail items.

  • Anytime a deal doesn't meet the standard of satisfaction you expect you should speak up about it...I do...I am on no trade lists with a lot of people local and through internet deals because they sent junk cards and didn't want anyone calling them dishonest hurting their rep so they made the deals right by sending replacements or just trading back the original cards in the deal...In a case of lost cards I sent back either empty or the cards that were left in from a trade...Never settle even if it makes someone mad in trades or buys...It just hurts your collection and agitates you in the end...I personally would rather have a few mad at me and not wanna trade with me again than feel like I got screwed in a deal.
  • disreal, interesting post there. u got to ask urself these 2 questions..

did bradley do that on purpose because he didn't have a ud griffin rc and just did that as an excuse to why it's not there? or did it really ripped open and slipped out?

  • I've never had a problem with a single card in a top loader in a WELL taped envelope. Don't blame it on the sender if they did a good job trying to protect it. Blame it on the post office.
  • I've had things taken from my mailbox but never found any ripped envelope.

  • Ive had them come with the envelope torn open but the cards were still there. Mine were from the sorter because you could see where the wheels met the envelope.
