My trip around town

I went for a trip around town and finally got to walk the Main Street. They have a two antique stores and a thrift shop, so I said "What the heck".
The first place I went into, I immediately found one thing I was looking for: a Hess Police car :-) They had some baseball memorabilia and I only picked up a Reggie Jackson Ceramic Card... then I asked about Coins and they had a small container full. Back tracking a bit, I had meant to bring my Red Book but never did.
Out of all the coins, they had about 5 Buffalo Nickels. They had been badly worn that the date did not show and thus I passed them over.
They had 3 Kennedy's which I believe were 1965, (2) 1966 but had a price tag of $10 on them. I know I'm pretty new at this but there is no way they are worth $10.
Then I came across a few nickels and dimes... most of them were 1965 and forward but I did come across a nice dirty 1945P Nickel that appeared to be in great condition and it cost me a buck... I probably could have found this in pocket change! Too bad it's not the 1945 DD reverse!
Then they had a bunch of tokens (NYC Subway and "fun" tokens) but nothing I could deem valuable.
My wife was actually more observant than me... she saw a sign that said "We Will Sell Your Stuff On Ebay"... and it made me realize why they were charging more for things in the store than I thought they would. They most likely check the prices on certain items and then mark it up a bit... and there I was thinking she was an innocient old lady :-)
The other antique store in town seemed more like they were selling junk. They had no coins so I decided to go to the bank and get a roll of pennies... not one wheat penny in the bunch but a nice looking 1962 that looked like it was a 2002 penny.
All in all, it was a nice day!
