1938-D Jeffersons with Full Steps graded by PCGS. There were none and now there are 10.

Noticed until a month or so ago PCGS had never graded a 1938-D Jefferson Full Steps. Now there are 8 MS-66 coins and 2 MS-67 coins. What happened here. After grading about 1,000 of these over the last 17 years all the sudden there are 10 coins with full steps? Has the standard for full steps changed?

Yes, there is a thread here somewhere from Rick Montgomery about this change.

Yes for that year they changed the standard due to the dies used.
