I was collecting dmpl & pl cc dollars than got on this tear to complete gsa cc set. As I've never really completed a set with the exception of franklin set years ago. I was and still am looking forward to the carson city coin show at the mint in Sept. but have just about completed the set in about two months time. As this has been expensive to my budget and have gone way above it. But ther still is one left to get and might try and break my bank and pick it up at cc show. Yes it's the 1879cc gsa. So if you see a toothless and homeless man with a cardboard sign on freeway onramp, that might be me!!!!!

Tell us about this.
There were actually 4 different dates that were one of a kind....the 1889-CC, 1892-CC, 1893-CC all in GSA hardpacks and a single Seated Liberty Dollar in a GSA softpack.
The 1889-CC has surfaced and is in an advanced collection in the midwest. The 1892-CC and 1893-CC have never surfaced...at least not according to any credible reports that I've seen.
The Seated Liberty Dollar in a GSA softpack has surfaced and is now firmly implanted in my GSA collection!

<< <i> always considered the GSA set to include both the regular die and the capped die varities for the 1879-CC. Add the 1880-CC rev of 78 and you've upped the price even more!

GSAGUY, well I have 1880cc gsa rev78. But I know I'll have to settle for one varity on the 1879cc gsa. You just had to mention it didn't you.

<< <i>Wasn't there one of the issues where the GSA only had one piece? Has that coin managed to stay in its GSA holder all of these years!!!? >>
I think it might be 1889ccgsa but not sure. I can't go after that one.
