Interesting. That seller is mentioned in AH Collectible's feedback in a rather unflattering way.

I like the high bidder's feedback in each of those auctions. You don't suppose that's a shill do you? image

They were each for Accugrade grading books, signed by Alan Hagar. I'm not sure why they would have been pulled.

    Welcome to the boards, vamseeker!

I heard a rumor (here) that Mr. Hager bought the expensive 1933 St. Gaudens. I have absolutely no way to confirm that, nor do I care.

  • The auctions are already pulled down.......interesting

    Can anyone spare some change??
  • Thanks for the welcome 1jester.

Just getting started in collecting again. Haven't even checked my pocket change since I was a young kid in the 60's.

Just thought everyone in this forum would jump at the opportunity to get an autographed copy of the Accugrade grading standards!

Too bad they shut it down, must be part of that vendetta mentioned in another thread.

    Standards:

    If its metal: MS63
    If its a coin: MS64
If its a coin made out of metal: MS65
If it is a shiney coin made out of metal: MS66 (how it got to be shiney is irrelevant)
If the shiney metal coin shows no wear: MS67
If the metal coin is so dark that you can't tell if it has wear: MS68
If the metal coin is a proof strike: PR70

Standards? We don't need no stinkin' standards!

    Matt:

    You forgot one:

If you pay for the express premium service you get an MS66 - do not pass go, do not collect $200 - and the coin need not be metal or shinny. image

    UGH!
