Ddin't we see a silver round a few weeks back dated 1865 that was the size of a dollar, but looked like a quarter????? It says One Dollar insted of Quarter dollar, and I bet this is one of them. The scan is so bad no one could tell what it was
Original: "I am sorry the pictures aren't better. It is in great condition. Happy bidding!!"
What he really meant: " I am sorry the pictures aren't better, I am a worthless turd who is trying to scam and decieve someone. This is really a clad quarter that fell into the toilet while I was relieving myself and I fished it out with my teeth. Coin is as common and as ugly as they come. Happy bidding!!"
Arco - I do not think that it is a clad, or if it is, it was errored in the mint. In fact, I do not think that it is even a US coin - I believe it is some type of 3-rd world counterfeit. Look at the Obverse - Liberty is about right on the coin, but the head is too high, and the size is all wrong. Might be an off-strike, but I can't tell...Definately not an 1865 anything!
