I just bought my first car! 99 Honda Civic, Now the insurance company wants $3,900 a year for insurance what do I do?

    I have a job and work a lot, but with cell phone, Car payment, and other expenses how can I afford $400-500 a month just for car insurance, even if I could I don't think it's worth it, I think it's all a rip off, is there anyway around it? any way to find cheap insurance, we have 2 cars and a house but that discount isn't a lot. Just thought someone might have some useful info.

    Try looking at progressive.com and get a quote with them

    hmmmm... if you lived in canada... i would be able to help you out...lol... cause thats what i do... i am an insurance broker. Try other searches on the web... or call around different companies. The only reason i know progressive is because they were in canada at one point.

    dang...that sounds like WAYYYYYYYYY too much money, ESP for a civic...it shouldnt be much more then 1500-2000 a year...
