Keon Clark to the Kings?

It's looking more and more like Keon Clark is going to sign a long-term deal with the Kings. Does this put them a step closer to beating the Lakers, or is he overrated?

  • He he, you still gotta admit he's a nice luxury to have at backup center.

he isn't going to play center in the west.. PF yea.. C? no way
  • I'd take him just because of his pure athletic ability. Not to mention if he develops, he can step in when Divac leaves and take the starting job. Until someone can find a way to stop Shaq, no one will beat the Lakers.

  • Ok this is coming from a Raptors fan who watched Keon all last season. I believe Mr. Clark did put in more effort last year looking to make the $$$ as a free agent. With him smoking weed during contract negotiations and fighting with a few team members, the Raptors did lose interest in the big man. His off season work out habbits include weed, booze and golf.

On the flip side, the Kings will absolutly love this guy on the court, he does have freakish skills and will help out big time coming off the bench. He will create quite a few match up problems and can at least rest the big man Divac for the playoffs. He may have quite a few issues with him but if you get Keon motivated and he is happy (just give him a shot of rye before every game) the Kings just got themselves a future star. He is real good and even though he has a ton of issues I will miss his crazy jams and insaine blocks.

Keon "The Human Blunt" Clark....we will miss you here in Toronto!!!

  • Undertaker, I think he can swing at backup center. Remember, the west is loaded with size, but the majority is at PF....the C crop is still pretty thin league-wide. Sure, he can't body up on Shaq without help....but who can?

I'd still want him guarding Shaq over Scot Pollard anyday.

no he just doesn't have the body to play @ center in the west
he's 'only' 6'11" and he weighs about 220, that just ain't gonna do it..

btw.. if they sign Clark, will they have the money to re-sign Bibby? because w/o Bibby, the Kings don't even come close to the Lakers
  • I think any deal the Kings make would be predicated on them resigning Bibby...without him they have nothing.
