Set Registry Special - Turnaround Times?

I'm not going to call PSA and ask them, as that's looking a gift horse in the mouth. But I am none-the-less curious as to the turnaround time for the Set Registry free gradings promotion. Either way, since it's free, I'm not too concerned, just, again, curious.

  • I suspect that the current promotion will be slower than the last one, since it involves some vintage, and vintage is slower. The 80's special was around two calendar weeks.

If you call them and ask what's going on, they'll give you a better time estimate than you'll get on the website. If they say that your stuff is in grading, that's a while, but if they say it's in verification or encapsulation, start checking the invoice online every once in a while, because it will come up soon. They have gotten *really* fast.

I am up to my eyebrows in PSA cards here -- I got my 1980 Topps invoice back yesterday. That was 14 days, door to door.

  • Hey Bruce -

Care to share how you did on your 1980 Topps? Are you as good at picking out 9s and 10s as you were on your 1986-87 Fleer Basketball?
