I may have overpaid a bit...but man what a card!

He's supposed to have a huge year, and their are always Moss fans out there who will be interested:

    Its a sweet looking card but i think you paid a little to much but your right theres always moss fans out there and I think hes gona have a good year

    I will have to agree with Focus. Moss does not give 100% each play, otherwise he would be THE BEST WR in the NFL. He slacks off. But Very Nice Card! Will ya trade it? I got a friend who would kill for that card.

    Thats a very nice card but since the Vikings #2 reciever at this point is D'wayne Bates I think Moss will see alot of double coverage. Maybe even triple coverage. He might be in for a rough year. But I can't wait to see that 5 tightend set they are talking about.

    There is no way Tice is gonna let Moss get away with half the sh!t green did, I love Denny Green but I went to the Cheifs Vikings scrimmage and Tice chewed some guys @$$ for tackling someone and told him to get out, no way Tice is gonna put up with Moss.

    ROCK, every local insider I've read has said Alexander will be the #2 guy because his game is so similar to Carter's and he has the game-breaking ability to capitolize when Moss gets double-covered.

    Nice card! Moss IS the best receiver and I don't know why everyone is on his back. Everyone in the NFL takes a play off once in a while and Moss has the courage to say it/ At least he is being honest and not fake like alot of players who think they go every play. Personally, I love the honesty.

    That is a nice card!I also wonder why everyone is on Moss'case.He lost one of his closet buddies when Korey died;they need to understand that.With the new coach tho,I think Moss will be just fine.I wish him & the vikings the best of luck.

    I like Moss, and Tice recently said they were going to look his way on 40% of snaps this year...looks like Tice is smart enough to know the best way to keep a great reciever from getting board is to keep gettinghim the ball.

    not only did you NOT overpay, but you got a great deal if you ask me. those cards are SP to like 150 or less and that one is a 1/1 and its gorgeous. hang onto it!

    Has nothing to do with that. It's all about the patch. Here are some examples.

    Sean Elliott Final Cut Patch w/ NBA logo. Paid $5. Sold on Ebay for $51.
    J.D. Drew Material Issue Patch (piece of Bird). Paid $5.99. Sold on Ebay for $28.50
    David Wesley Final Cut Patch (w/ Body Length Tag). Paid $3.99. Sold for $15.50


    So, the patch is definately more important than the player. So, it's not a waste of money.

    You didn't over pay. Anything with a multicolor swatch (yours is pretty nice) always get's a good premieum. What have similar moss cards gone for?

    As for grading wise....is it me or does the card look off centered?

    I have no intention of grading it, it adds very little to GU values if it's not a rookie.

    True true.....But hey putting it in a holder is still good....never know might get a Gem Mint grade then it's worth it. It at least protects the card because they are always too bloody thick to put in most holders.

    I use the 2-piece 10-card boxes for my super thick patch cards, thats the best way to disply and ship them I've found, and the cases are 2/1.00 at most shows.

    The card is cool. And the card is worth what you want to pay, so you can never "overpay". Moss is a jerk in my opinion like Rodman was a jerk, but he is still one helluva receiver. I collect his stuff, so it's not like I don't
    think he's good. He's just happens to be a jerk that is a great receiver as well... image.

    Alexander is definetly the #2 reciever, but I would say Byron Chamberlin, even though he is a Te, will be #2 in catches for the season.....
    Hopefully Bennett will get3-4 screen passes each game, he can break those ala' Robert Smith.....

    Bates may get 3-4 looks a game, kinda like Jake Reed..........

    Chamberlain has been a huge addition for them, I had in my fantasy keeper league last year and he did me well.

    what does the regular card like that sell for?
    and what price tag are you putting on it for the show if it gets there quick enough?

    He he, thanks auto, all it takes is one Moss fan at the show (and there are a million out there) who wants to drop the loot and get the best card there. My local shows are pretty small (about 15 tables, all the dealers know each other) so this card will be the patch of the show, and all I need is one dealer who knows someone who will pay top dollar for it.

    Scoutdawg, if I were at the show right now, I'd take $75 cash or $175-200 trade (depending on what I was getting) for it.

    Nice card indeed. If he has a good season it shouldn't be too hard to flip that card for more then what you paid for it.
