What would you grade this coin????

image

I pulled this dime out of a mint roll. This is my first attempt at a scan of a coin so it is not as good as it could be.

Of course the I and W show up in real life but are weak compared to the other letters.

Thanks for helping me. I am trying to build a grading set without paying a fortune for it.

Typical "struck thru grease" strike. 64 maybe 65, but not higher. Hard to tell with this scan.

Well not exactly struck-through grease but maybe grease filled die in the IGWT area.
64 is the highest it could go due to this.Despite the mark-free surfaces the weak IN and W
keeps it from 65 and up....I think.

How do you acquire a "mint roll" of anything besides Sacs and State Quarters? I've never been to any of the mints, so I don't know if their gift shops (??) carry such items.

Ok Gilbert,Cut the newbie some slack,ok? lolimage
  • I agree with cam40 as I have looked at several rolls of these dimes but have only managed to find a few coins without the weak grease filled die letters....Pat
