every1 say a prayer for chick hearn

i know theres only a handfull of laker fans here on this board and im not sure if anything about him has been posted yet but im sure most of you have heard of chick hearn and know that he is in a hospital, in a coma and near death after falling at his home and hitting the back of his head. hopefully he recovers but from what i've read it dosen't look too good. the fact that this guy never missed broadcasting a game from 1965- 2001 shows how much he loved b-ball..next time you watch a game and you hear the terms " air ball " and " slam dunk " think of chick because he's the one who coined those phrases as well as many others..i've only had the pleasure of hearing him call games since i got my dish to watch laker games over 4 years ago. my wife and i love listening to him broadcast games because he was so hilarious and he made the games a blast to listen too.. we actually got a chance to meet him 2 years ago before a laker-philly game. my wife went up to him and asked him if he would take a picture with me ( which i have around here somewhere ) and he signed my media guide and a yearbook i brought. he was the nicest guy you'd ever want to meet , just like a sweet old grandpa..well im sure im boring every1 so i'll stop now but i just felt like posting this.. so say a prayer for good ole chick tonight
