does pcgs have people that just grade certian series..

i always wondered if you sent in a trade dollar,does a person who has alot more experience with lincoln cents grade it. or do they just split the coins up and hand them out to be graded . there are so many types of coins ,each person who grades cant be on the money on all of them...

    I do not know, but I imagine it all boils down to expertise and efficiency. I imagine there are at lease a few graders that are kept busy with and deal only with moderns, but that would tend to get boring, as a grader I would demand a shot at some more satisfying and prestigous classics. I would hope they have specialists in bust, seated, early copper, etc., but remember that what, we have three graders looking at every raw coin, at least? But, then again, who knows, it may just be luck of the draw, although I'm certain special coins receive the white glove treatment of only the top graders ...
