There should be a delete button next to the graphics in the set registry.

I'm going through and deleting the registry scans that I'm no longer using - a ton of them since I always seem to be re-shooting my coins. It's enormously time-consuming to have to type in the file name one at a time and click delete. PCGS could encourage reduction of resource consumption if they'd make this a little easier by adding a delete button next to each.

  • I'll go a step further. I would like to see a way to know whether or not an image is linked to a coin in your set. I have dozens of images, but I can't remember which ones I am using in some cases.

It is confusing and time consuming. Had a NGC Coin in My Set for awhile untill the mistake was noticed. Some Improvement would be welcome by all I believe. Has anyone else just had some of thier pictures disappear ? This has happened also then the Scan had to be replaced but the same ID code could not be used. Minor Pain just to show off coins.....image

I just got through doing exactly what Ken described, and it DOES take a LOT of time, but it's not necessary to type the file names to delete them. You can highlight the name of the file, and then copy and paste it to the "delete" box. The eliminates the possibilty of a typo, especially the way I type.image A delete button next to each file would be a great improvement, though. I deleted about 30 old files for my type coins, and added new ones. It took over an hour! And that's on top of a couple of hours to take the photos, and to prepare them for uploading. You can check them out here.

Yes, you can. But, it takes five distinct actions to do so. Still just as time consuming as typing them in. I also wish that it wasn't necessary to delete a file, if one wishes to replace it with a file of the same name. It should just over-write it.

The interface could use a real overhaul. Especially from the usability perspective. PCGS needs to hire me to redesign it. image The code to make the registry is not very hard. It would take me around a month full time to come up with an enterprise level architecture and good interface. But alas and alack, I'm in Tennessee so it is not to be...

    Russ,

If I understand what you want correctly, there should be a delete button you can use when you edit your collection. I've used it before and it's a simple procedure. When you're editing your set, page down and it will list the coins in your set. On the right (if I remember correctly) there should be something allowing you to delete the image.

    DAM,

That deletes the coin, the image stays on the server.
