oh i still have plenty of doubts. come on, its the freaking cowboys! no o, and no d. the skins have done nothing to improve from their sh*ty season last year. u are a complete idiot... first of all, go back and find your last post u typed as i proved u wrong many times... how old are u? 10? can u watch TV without mom and dad? lemme prove u wrong some more since i can tell u didn't watch the game and know nothing about football u close-minded piece of sh!t...
1) we didn't play the Cowboys, we played the 49ers...
2) Skins did nothing to improve from last year? so i guess signing Jessie Armstead, Daryl Gardener, Jacquez Green, Jeremiah Trotter, Renaldo Wynn, Marvin Lewis, and Steve Spurrier has made them WORSE...
3) Eagles made the playoffs 4 times in the 1990's, not 6... and if u were smart you'd realize they haven't made the playoffs in 2002 because the season hasn't started...
4) let alone almost making it to the superbowl... lol... almost isn't making it... by the way, how many superbowls have the Eagles won? haha, 0... in fact they haven't even been t he superbowl since 1981 when they got spanked by Oakland... now compare that to the Skins 5 superbowl appearances, and 3 Lombardi trophies...
in conclusion, please do not discuss football with me... u are an idiot and know absolutely nothing which means there is no way i can have an intelligent conversation with u...
lol, there is no way anybody can have an intelligent conversation with you.
1.the only person that helped your team was trotter, the rest of them have done nothing in the NFL. Spurrier my help, but nobody know, he's a rookie coach.
2. And who gives a sh*t how many superbowls they have won. that was way back when, and none of them even play for you team anymore.
3. 1990, 1991, 1992, 1995, 1996. thats 5 not 4 playoff appearances. i know i said 6, but i misread. they also were in 00 and 01, and will be this yr 02.
4.

<< <i>let alone almost making it to the superbowl... lol... almost isn't making it. >>

5. wanna put a wager on this season? >>
1) so Armstead and his 5 previous Pro Bowl appearances didn't help... Daryl Gardener and Renaldo Wynn, also previous Pro Bowl attendees, didn't help either i'm sure... Jacquez Green has been having a great training camp, but no he can't help... Marvin Lewis and his record-setting world champion 2000 defense didn't help either, right?
2) lol @ the superbowls... awww, u gonna cry cuz Philly has never done anything great or spectacular in all their years as a franchise... and Washington's last superbowl victory was the 1991 season... u brought up the 90's and so did i...
3) to correct u yet again... it was 4 times in the 90's... they did not make the playoffs in 1991... here's proof in u don't believe me... proof...
4) Skins didn't have a chance last year? hey einstein, do u watch football? the Skins finished 8-8 and was ONE game away from getting a wild card... starting off 0-5 is bad, but finishing 8-8 with a chance to make the playoffs was unbelievable... besides, we crushed the mighty Eagles in Philly so what's your point?
5) no prolly not cuz i can't trust u to live up to it... what kind of wager were u thinking?
1. ur right, with a 10-6 record in 91 they didnt get in, kinda rare
2. who the hell is renyaldo wynn??
3. Green has done nothing to prove himself in the NFL, he starts off good in preseason, and then hits the dirt.
4. Yes i watch football, obviously more than you. 8-8 doesnt mean crap. Im not sure if they woulda beat Tampa to a wildcard spot or not. But it doesnt matter. CLOSE DOESNT MATTER, according to you.(hmm laughs as he watching THito's words bit him in the azz).
5. The eagles lost 3-13, but won 20-6 the second time around! SO WHO GOT CRUSHED????
6. You dont trust me?? Hmm, ive had 3 contests, which i sent cards to people. and lost on yahoo pool multiple times and sent cards for those. Your the one not to be trusted.
7. armstead and gardner are old, and are way past their prime.
8. how close did the redskins come to going to superbowl in last 10 yrs?? eagles(4 pts, 2 minutes away) redskins(hmm 1 or 2 games shy of playoffs).
9. eagles record last season (11-5), redskins (8-8)
10. how many playoff teams did they play last yr? (teams with 8-8 or better) 4 games(1 gb, 1 chi, 2 eagles), how many wins? (1) REAL TOUGH SEASON THERE!!
11. answer to 10. for eagles. (6) (1 stl(loss in ot), 1-oak, 2-wash, 1-bucs, 1- 9ers) plus 3 in playoffs (1-bucs, 1- chi, 1-rams)
not saying the giants(contenders until last game)(played twice)
I also watched the game, and I didn't see Spurrier throwing his visor...which is funny...for any coach...lol...
As for the rest of the game, it went about what I expected. I expected Wuerfel to dominate in the second half and he did. Let's temper things down some for you:
When the starting offenses were in, San Fran moved the ball well and looked to be the better team. Washington looked poor on offense those first three series. Rosenfels was 2 for 8. The defense played it vanilla. The Redskins are going to see a lot more heat than what they got last night. Jacquez Green and Rod Gardner weren't heard from. Does that bother you? Your offensive line opened no holes when the starters were in, and not much thereafter.
For the Skins fans, you have to be excited because it is clear that the offense is going to be more exciting. I think the players are buying into Spurrier's system and the big win will encourage them. But remember, it all comes down to talent, and I think there are questions with the starters on offense in that regard.
1. ur right, with a 10-6 record in 91 they didnt get in, kinda rare

not saying the giants(contenders until last game)(played twice)
12. how much of a wager u want?? $50 in cards? >>
1) no need for explanation...
2) renaldo wynn came from jacksonville and is a very underrated DE... he's a good player and he'll make a big impact for us on the left side... watch him play...
3) Green also has not been in Spurrier's system... Green has been a star receiver for Tampa the last few years in an offense that is very vanilla... he's a good player and he'll prove it this season...
4) as far as 'close doesn't matter' - u brought that up... u started sayin the Eagles were 'close' so i mentioned the Skins were 'close' as well... close does NOT matter, but when u say the Skins weren't anywhere near the playoffs, i was simply proving u wrong...
5) yup we played bad the 2nd game, but we didn't get crushed... did u watch the game? lol didn't think so... if u did, you'd understand what i meant... the Eagles simply got dominated the 1st game... the Skins did not get dominated the 2nd game... it was very close until the end, when Banks made some crucial mistakes (i.e. - a couple picks that led to TD's...) please don't argue unless u have a valid argument...
6) PM me with your "offer"
7) way past their prime, huh? Armstead made the Pro Bowl last year for the 5th time while leading the Giants in tackles and starting every game of his career i believe... and Gardener was a rookie in 1996 and is only 29 years old i believe... that's NOT past his prime, but right in the middle of it...
8) in 1999 we made it to the conference semi-final game only to lose by one point on a botched snap to kick the winning FG as time expired... other than that, the Redskins have been horrible the last 10 years... but that was Norv... ever since Snyder became owner, we have improved, but we still have not been the team we should... this year should change...
9) thanks for reminding me... i didn't watch any football last year, so i appreciate your update... (yes, that was sarcastic)
10) the Skins had no expectations last year... they were expected to do bad... they released half the team and signed nobody... they were NOT a superbowl contender... so going 8-8 was an accomplishment... it wasn't great, but considering they started off 0-5, finishing 8-8 was tremendous...
11) Eagles, on the other hand, had HIGH expectations... the superbowl was their goal and they didn't reach it, so it's logical and appropriate to say their season was a failure... 2 different teams, 2 different goals - u can't compare that...
12) i'm not betting $50 worth of cards... i don't have any high-end cards... PM if u want to do this, but most likely it will be cash... and i need details to this 'offer' as well...
<< <i>I also watched the game, and I didn't see Spurrier throwing his visor...which is funny...for any coach...lol...

Derrick... San Fran did NOT move the ball well... there first series - 3 and out... their 2nd series started deep in the Skins territory because of an INT... they moved about 10-15 yards and botched a FG... that was it... i don't classify that as moving the ball well... our D played great...
the first quarter Washington's offense looked horrible... well let me refrain, our QB looked horrible... i'll state right now he won't be our starter... he's an average QB, but not starting material... he looked a little confused, but please please please please please don't blame the WR's... they were open every play (which is what Spurrier's offense does so well)... Green and Gardner were there, but Rosenfels couldn't make the passes... even Theismann noticed that... i recorded the game and watched it again and saw many wide open WR's that Sage missed... i only wish Wuerffel would have started the game to prove my point... he would have lit up the 1st stringers just like he did the rest... why? cuz it's his offense... he feels comfortable in and he thrives in it... he understands it better than Sage and he can make plays, just like he did in the 2nd half...
u think the defense played it vanilla? lol please... it was a game and they played to win... they even blitzed a few times so to say they played it vanilla is just an excuse...
and the O-line??????????????? c'mon man, they looked great! out of the whole team, the O-line is the biggest concern and they played great... i didn't see hardly any pressure on our QB's and they had ample time to throw the ball... they weren't great at pulling and opening holes for the RB, but that will and should improve... also, Stephen Davis didn't play... we had a 3rd stringer in there most of the game that prolly won't even make the team... look at the whole picture Derrick...
"yanksfan- It was $400 in 4 cards or less I believe and get ready to lose!
I can't wait to see the Giants get waxed by the Texans on MNF tomorrow"
Get ready to lose? yeah right! Hell, Spurrier can do great things when he's got a team around him. Even with the greatest coach, a team with no clear leader(or someone to carry the team) can't win.
Why don't you ever read my posts. I've said b/f the Giants aren't gonna win alot of games, a .500 record wouldn't be out of the queston though. There gonna do what they used to, messing up players. Remember Mccaffrey? or Namath? That one was good, SNAP! I think strahan will end up with 15-18 sacks. You Skins fans always talk about next season the Skins are gonna be great. That hasn't happened in a decade!
I can't wait for the cards to come rollin in. Thank you for the bet!

no clear leader? WHAT ARE U TALKING ABOUT? lol i love when people talk about the Skins, figure out they have NO argument and just decide to say something like this... Stephen Davis, LaVar Arrington, Fred Smoot, Jeremiah Trotter - there's 4 huge team leaders for ya just to name a few...
I never thought I would say this, but I'll steal a phrase from the Kobe jockriders when I say they're hating on the 'Skins.
Jbugs- You know NOTHING aboit football! You don't think Armstead's experience will help? And you did not know who Wynn and Gardener are? What an ass! >>
they just don't get it man... but they will soon enough...

12. how much of a wager u want?? $50 in cards?
As for the rest of the game, it went about what I expected. I expected Wuerfel to dominate in the second half and he did. Let's temper things down some for you:
When the starting offenses were in, San Fran moved the ball well and looked to be the better team. Washington looked poor on offense those first three series. Rosenfels was 2 for 8. The defense played it vanilla. The Redskins are going to see a lot more heat than what they got last night. Jacquez Green and Rod Gardner weren't heard from. Does that bother you?
For the Skins fans, you have to be excited because it is clear that the offense is going to be more exciting. I think the players are buying into Spurrier's system and the big win will encourage them. But remember, it all comes down to talent, and I think there are questions with the starters on offense in that regard.

12. how much of a wager u want?? >>

I never thought I would say this, but I'll steal a phrase from the Kobe jockriders when I say they're hating on the 'Skins.
Jbugs- You know NOTHING aboit football! You don't think Armstead's experience will help? And you did not know who Wynn and Gardener are? What an ass!
Many Refs, just ask.
