The superior sale seemed...

Mediocre at best, at least on my moderns...and alot of classic coins I was watching. What did you guys think?

i didn't find it the most followable auction. very often coins of the same series were sold, for no apparent reason, at two different sessions (1921 ms64 peace at one session, 1921 ms65 peace, both pcgs, at another session), the starting prices were never firm, the estimates were often goofy($100-99999), too often a high floor bid was recanted. not nearly as strong as heritage last week, not by a longshot, very disappointing.

I saw one lot the first day that the internet bidder bid then it said lot closed winner internet bidder then about 3 seconds later it said lot reopened floor bidder and closed in like 1 second.

It didn't have a big as selection as Heritages auction but I did win a nice Proof barber Dime. Least I think it's nice, I'l know when I get it. It was the only thing I bid on as compared to to about 4 in Heritage's auction that I bid on. All I won from Heritage was a Proof Lib Nickel. Seems like I overpaid at Heritage but got a good deal from Superior.

I thought both Superior and Heritage had a lot of exciting lots, even in areas that I don't collect. Its cool to see things like MS 1797 halves and very early proofs, even if I can't pay to play at that level.

I was frustrated with weaknesses in the internet biddiing interface, but not with the content of the auction. See my thread re: missing out on a some lots that I thought I had the high bid on.
