I submitted 3 NGC coins for crossover.
1966 SMS Quarter NGC Graded MS68 PCGS graded it MS67
1967 SMS Quarter NGC Graded MS68 PCGS graded it MS66
I lost on these two, but I only paid $70 each so it wasn't a big loss.
1948 Franklin Half NGC graded MS65 PCGS graded it MS65FBL
I made out on this one.I bought it for $90.
Next crossing I do is at same grade or higher. Those quarters should have stayed 68's.
This is one of those mixed emotion submissions.

What do you mean when you say you lost on these coins? Apparently you agreed with the NGC grades. Did you pay 68 money for the coins (I have no idea of the going price for these coins)? So is this a case of PCGS not giving the competition their due and undergrading?

I only got one of the three grades I thought I would get.I thought they were 68's.My grading skills aren't the best. I could be wrong.
FBL, interesting. You were asking for a lot with those
quarter submissions though. Crossing over your quarters
was a long shot as you know and I am still not sure there
is a way to give you an edge on that.

I also brought that coin to a coin show and got a few dealer opinions and they thought it was FBL.
