How do you get the photo to appear in the thread, not just a link???

Just click on the hyperlinked "symbols" below the "attachments" when you are posting a message and it will show you the html to use

Above the reply box click on the picture symbol and type in the url for where the picture is located.

You have to upload on your own site and it has to be one that allows remote linking. Here is one that is free and allows remote linking.

Please don't put pictures (like the LARGE SAMPLE tjkillian provided) in the thread. Use the links instead.

I have only a 56K modem, and it takes too long for pages like this to load. I would much prefer a link that allows me to read the tread and THEN decide if I want to take the time to view the picture.

You don't have to use a remote hosting service to include the photos in the message. You can just click attachments, upload, then include the image by clicking the image button when typing a thread. Your image, if you uploaded it correctly, will be located at https://us.v-cdn.net/6027503/uploads/oldattachments/filename.jpg, but instead of filename.jpg put in your file's name. The double slash at the end is necessary. Hope this helps.

BoomSpeed booted me. Now I'm back to attachments again. Says BoomSpeed:
Current FREE (1) Meg accounts are limited, by our TOS, for websites and for file & image linking with "Auctions Only", meaning that if you are linking photos to chat boards, message forums, websites, etc., that are not auction related, use of your FREE account may be in violation of the Boomspeed TOS.

They kept all my pictures too the bums!

Thanks to all of you for the helpful information. I'm semi-computer illiterate. I tried it out on the testing forum and got it to work. Which leads to this question. The photo I used was fairly large. Is there any way to reduce the size?
